Welcome

The Sensory Ride is a regular group bike ride in Portland Oregon, led by neurodivergent people from Ride Safe PDX, that hopes to provide a more comfortable environment for those that may experience anxiety or sensory challenges, or for those that just prefer this type of controlled riding environment. The rides are always a loop from the start location, slow pace, no drop, restroom access and store stop, stick to neighborhood greenways, have quiet or no music, and a set of expectations for ride participants. We created this site to provide all of the information for the Sensory Rides, as well as a place to contact us if needed without needing to use Instagram. Please see the links at the top of the page (three stripes in upper right if you are on mobile) for upcoming rides, ride rules and expectations, routes, and the contact form if you would like to contact us.

Neighborhood Greenways

From the Portland.Gov web site: Neighborhood greenways are low-traffic and low-speed streets where we give priority to people walking, bicycling, and rolling. Neighborhood greenways form the backbone of the city’s Safe Routes to School network and connect neighborhoods, parks, schools, and business districts. Portland has more than 100 miles of neighborhood greenways in every part of the city. Learn about Neighborhood Greenways by watching this short video.
